ACA Croquet Academy
An exciting new initiative by the Australia Croquet Association is being launched and will feature a whole series of coaching, teaching and reference materials online to help players at all levels, not just elite players.
The coaching modules have already been released in Queensland and reports indicate that the graphics are impressive and the commentary clear and without jargon. Queenslander Greg Bury is fronting the initiative which hopefully will help clubs recruit and retain members. There will be a section specifically supporting clubs.
ACA plans to rebrand croquet, to promote our sport through publicity, through grants and through recruiting. The initiative will be as much for ordinary club members as for elite players. Too often initiatives are directed at the elite only, but this will be different.
