Meryl Swanson is the Member of Parliament for the seat of Paterson in the Federal House of Representatives. She was first elected to the House of Representatives for Paterson in 2016 and has been e-elected in 2019 and 2022.

She is a Member of the Australian Labour Party and is Chair of Standing Committee on Agriculture.
